No one understands a man’s body better than a tailor, as reflected in the custom-made suit for each client. A 100-million-VND suit from PAUL Bespoke Tailor is not just an outfit; it represents the gentleman’s class and lifestyle.
It’s not without reason that a suit from PAUL Bespoke Tailor costs 100 million VND. In the fashion industry in Da Nang, it carries an even greater significance. Amid the fierce competition in the fashion sector, why did PAUL Bespoke Tailor decide to create such a high-end suit?
Inspiration from the desire to create something unique
When it comes to high-end fashion in Vietnam, most people think of Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City, often overlooking Da Nang. This was the first reason that motivated Mr. Khanh, the founder of Paul Bespoke Tailor, to create a “one-of-a-kind” suit, nurturing the dream of making Da Nang a bright spot in the Vietnamese fashion industry.
From a desire to stand out and attract the masses, Mr. Khanh has always wanted to express his personal style, success, and lifestyle through an endless passion for fashion.
However, that’s not the only reason for the creation of this valuable suit. As someone who always listens to the thoughts and desires of customers, understanding the sentiments and lifestyles of modern gentlemen, Mr. Khanh decided to launch the 100 million VND tailored suit in Da Nang.
The message behind the 100 million VND suit from PAUL Bespoke Tailor
As a gentleman who embraces an open and inspiring lifestyle, Mr. Khanh Paul conveys to men through this high-end suit the message: “Do what you love in your own style.”
PAUL Bespoke Tailor aims for gentlemen to wear suits that fit well and highlight the two most attractive parts of a man: the shoulders and chest. It is hoped that every small detail of the suit will contribute to a refined, elegant appearance, allowing for flexibility in movement while encouraging gentlemen to confidently express their personalities.
What makes the 100 million VND suit
A three-piece design with meticulous handcrafted techniques, paying attention to every detail
The suit is designed in a three-piece style and crafted using the full canvas technique, which is renowned as a highly skilled tailoring method that requires exceptional experience in the fashion industry.
PAUL Bespoke Tailor, along with a team of highly skilled tailors with over 30 years of experience in the fashion field, invests 80 hours in the tailoring process to meticulously attend to every detail of the suit.
The world’s finest high-quality fabric
This high-end fashion suit is crafted from one of the most expensive fabrics in the world: Vicuna. Found at altitudes of 3,200 to 4,800 meters in the wild Andes of South America, the vicuña, a camelid without a hump, thrives in harsh conditions and boasts a masterpiece of nature—its thick, soft, fluffy fleece that is incredibly warm. This is the material used to weave the most exquisite fabric known to mankind: Vicuna fabric.
Vicuna fibers are exceptionally lightweight, finer and smoother than even cashmere goat wool and sheep’s wool. The twisting of these fibers creates countless tiny air pockets that provide extremely high thermal insulation and keep warmth in. Meanwhile, other types of wool tend to accumulate static electricity.
Why is Vicuna fiber known as the “fiber of the gods”?
Due to its limited supply and strict conservation policies regarding the Vicuna species, shearing can only occur once every two years, and a maximum of five times throughout their lifetime. This means that, on average, it takes about 35 vicuñas to provide enough fiber for a single garment. Because of its rarity and exceptional quality, no other fabric in the world surpasses Vicuna in terms of expense and luxury.
In the past, wearing garments made from the “fiber of the gods” (Vicuna fiber) was a privilege reserved for the Inca royalty. Today, Vietnamese gentlemen can own such pieces in their wardrobes. Meanwhile, the Scabal fabric brand has recently launched its latest Vicuna collection, featuring six luxurious designs crafted from 100% Vicuna fiber, including three classic herringbone styles and three bold check patterns.
Unlike the first Vicuna fabric sample, which featured simple color tones, Scabal’s new collection is more diverse and fashionable, showcasing dark blue, burgundy, and the original caramel hues of the Vicuna’s fleece.
Contributing to the completion of the suit are horn buttons and mother-of-pearl from the Holland & Sherry brand, known for their hardness, excellent elasticity, and high durability, along with the inner lining made from premium materials by Huddersfield Fine Worsted. The milanese buttonhole adds an attractive highlight to the suit.
This uniquely luxurious bespoke suit is a testament to the style of the gentlemen of Da Nang, celebrating the prosperity of the city and bringing a fresh look to the region. In the future, it is certain that many suits worth hundreds of millions will emerge here, establishing a bright spot in Central Vietnam, standing alongside Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in the realm of high-end fashion.
